Workshop facilitation
Let us focus on the process so you can participate in the workshop. Team leaders often turn into facilitators for team retreats, planning sessions, etc. At the same time, it's difficult to be responsible for how a session runs when you're also invested in the ideas that come out of that session. As the team leader you might might unintentionally end up influencing the direction of the group simply by facilitating.
A facilitator is neutral and can help make sure all voices are heard and team members can engage in the workshop.
